I was supposed to come back directly from Vellore - but had to go to Trivandrum once again for more kernel troubleshooting. Reached home today morning.

As more and more embedded systems are becoming Desktop-like (CPU's with MMU's, many megabytes of RAM), GNU/Linux seems to be becoming the OS of choice. There is good business opportunity here - especially for individuals/companies who can `port' the Linux kernel to work on these platforms (and also develop applications). I have started to think seriously about exploring this opportunity ...
